Near To You – A Fine Frenzy
If you need something to listen to/accompany you and your cup of tea, this is it. Soft vocals backed up by a simple piano melody. This one hits home for the calm, content mood I’ve been in lately. I’m not familiar with much of A Fine Frenzy’s music, but I guarantee I’ll be soaking up more of her sweet vocal goodness from now on. I’m a sucker for her lyrics as well, “Near to you, I am healing, but it’s taking so long,” and “I’m better near to you.”
Stop romanticizing people who hurt you.
”If a woman isn’t happy and un-opinionated and long-haired and pretty, then she’s weird and ugly. I just don’t get it. I hate it when they say I’m ungrateful and I fucking hate it when they say I don’t give a shit, because nobody cares more than I do. I’m telling you I don’t know anybody who does this that gives a shit more than I do.”
People always say that it hurts at night
and apparently screaming into your pillow at 3am
is the romantic equivalent of being heartbroken.
it’s 9am on a tuesday morning
and you’re standing at the kitchen bench waiting for the toast to pop up
And the smell of dusty sunlight and earl gray tea makes you miss him so much
you don’t know what to do with your hands.
West coast blood in Manhattan veins,
please lay her sparrow bones
to rest in the Midwestern plains.
